According to dr. Tri Juli Edi Tarigan, Sp.PD-KEMD, FINASIM, an internist and endocrine consultant from Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital, the right physical activity for people with diabetes is moderate intensity aerobics such as brisk walking, cycling, jogging, and swimming.
Physical activity should be done regularly, 3-5 days a week for about 30-45 minutes. "The pause between exercises for no more than two days in a row," said Dr. Tri Juli Edi Tarigan. To be more precise, Tri Juli Edi Tarigan also presented an example of a month-long physical activity schedule for people with diabetes. Examples of schedule can be seen in the table below.
