1. Good fatsMonounsaturates - Useful to lower bad cholesterol (LDL) in the blood, thereby helping to nourish the blood vessels. Available in foods include Olive Oil, canola oil, peanut oil, avocado, nonhydrogenated margarine, nuts, and seeds.Polyunsaturated fats (polyunsaturates) - Eating polyunsaturated fats along with saturated fats can lower LDL cholesterol.  

There are two types of fatty acids in polyunsaturated fats, omega 3, and omega 6. Omega 6 is found in vegetable oils, including sunflower seed oil, safflower, sesame oil, and corn oil, nuts and seeds. Omega 3s found in fatty fish (herring, tuna, salmon, trout, sardines, tension) are EPA and DHA, while omega 3 is also found in vegetable sources including, canola oil, soybean oil, linseed oil and walnuts

2. Bad fats saturated fats (Saturated Fats) - typically frozen/solidified at room temperature.  
 Saturated fats can raise bad cholesterol levels. There are many foods cooked with hydrogenated oils, fatty meats, fat-rich dairy products, butter, lard, coconut oil, palm oil, palm kernel oil and cocoa oil.Trans Fats - Is a type of fat that has changed by a process called hydrogenation.  

Heated vegetable oil for frying chips or other foods also turns into trans fats. Trans fats have longer shelf life and harden at room temperature. This type of fat can also increase cholesterol. 

All foods are made using partially hydrogenated butter or vegetable oil, as in most snacks, fast food, and fried foods.Different types of fats, different in behavior in our bodies, and their impact on certain disease risks are also different. Good fats, "monounsaturated fats" and "polyunsaturated fats" reduce the risk of some low-fat diseases.
