Benefits of Green Tea has been felt by many people from different parts of the world. Because the health benefits, green tea has been consumed by the nations of the world for centuries.

Unlike black tea, green tea is made from tea leaves that are not oxidized and require fewer processing so that it contains more antioxidants and polyphenolic compounds that are beneficial to the body.

Green tea is believed to be the most healthful beverage in the world and has a high antioxidant content among most other types of tea. Green tea (also other types of tea) contains natural chemical compounds called polyphenols which serves to ward off free radicals as well as anti-inflammatory.

Based on research conducted by the National Cancer Institute there, polyphenols contained in tea is proven to help reduce the growth of tumors and can fight the ill effects of UVB ultraviolet radiation.

The researchers believe that the high levels of polyphenols in tea may help to kill cancer cells and stop the growth.

Lowers Risk of Heart Disease
In 2006, the American Medical Association published a journal stating that the consumption of green tea may help lower the lower the risk of heart attack.

In Japan, there is also a study involving 40,000 citizens aged between 40 and 79 years old. The study lasted for 11 years since 1994. Through this study found that people who drank at least five cups of green tea per day had a lower risk of death (mainly heart disease) than those who drank less than one drink per day.
In addition, by taking ten cups of green tea every day can help to lower cholesterol levels.
Other Benefits Of Green Tea Another benefit of green tea is to prevent cavities, prevent stress, reduce acute fatigue, and improve skin condition.

Side Effects and Risks of Green Tea
Very little or no side effects or contraindications caused by drinking green tea for adults. However, for those who have a high sensitivity to caffeine may experience insomnia, anxiety, irritability, and nausea.
